love these little girls

I found these cuties at our local market--they are stickers on a transparent sheet! I love, love, love them! They remind me of Russia, I never expected to see them here!

Benihana

We love Benihana. SAD, I know. I wish we were the kind of family that frequents only local establishments, but give me an erupting onion volcano or that melt-in-your-mouth chateaubriand ANY DAY. I'm pretty sure the Buddha soda cups and Benihana chef's hat do it for the kids, too. Maybe the reason for this the fact that no matter where in the world you are (probably even in Japan) Benihana looks pretty much the same. We've hit Benihanas the world over--Moscow, UK, Scandinavia, CALIFORNIA:) and you get the same shrimp tail tossing extravaganza everywhere you go. Only our local Beni has this little guy, though. We love him. And the boys were kind enought to stop touching his nipples long enough for me to shoot this crappy picture with my iPhone.

Wichard

Spent a little quality time with my youngest this morning in Mrs. B's class. They were making witches out of dried apples. My job was to help pull the dried, pruny apple off the nail it had hung by for the last two months. And then help the kiddies dress it up to look like a witch. Funny thing about first grade; the little girls were HIGHLY concerned with the witches' dresses, hair, and kerchief matching. Preferably they should all be pink, white, or have sparkles. The boys, on the other hand, kept smelling the rotten, dried up apple witches' heads at point blank smell range (read--shoved in your face) and yelling with dismay at the stench. Here's Dylan with his witch, Wichard and the stinky witch boys:

GAME

While we were in Arizona we got to go check out Slade's game. He rocked!! They played a great game against the other Show Low team, they were both in green and black so one team had to wear the orange jerseys. Nick was pretty intent. After the game the 6th grade team came out and got ready to play. They were huge. Either they are really dumb and fail grades alot or they have some kind of mega diet that grows 'em big. Nick said: I thought the Provo boys were big!!

Dr. Smash

We were in Taylor this last weekend visiting Dale and Glen and their families. We went to see Slade's (Glen and Angie's boy) football game. It was fun to watch. Dylan got a little bored. When I looked down I saw he had collected some rocks with his cousin, Kayde, and they were crushing them using the bigger rock. He said nonchalantly: Mom, you can call me Dr. Smash.

Been There, Done That

We drove down to Arizona to see family and get firewood. You can see the back of the trunk and the trailer behind are full of wood. We brought back just over a cord of juniper and cedar. And I mean a real cord, not the kind they sell you up here. We were really heavy coming home so the trip took about 11 hours. We stayed with Glen and Angie and their kids and got to see Dale and Heather's fam, too. Including baby Clyde...what a cutie!
