6th Grade Project-- Ancient Egypt
Today I went down to the grade school to see the 6th Grade Ancient Egypt Exposition. Maddy's project, a diorama of the Giza Plateau (below, 2 photos), was FANTASTIC. You can see the Great Sphinx below, right in front of one of the pyramids (white because "back then" they were covered in limestone).
Here you can see the smaller Pyramids of the Queens. She did a great job. Her project really stood out.

BEDTIME
Not so smooth sailing at the Coxes tonight, we had 3 complete meltdowns after our dinner of tacos (I made), frozen mini pizzas (Nick), a large bowl of sugar cereal and one bite of a PB&J (Dylan), and ??? (Maddy). I was in no mood and just escorted them all gently to their bedrooms. I tried to be as gentle as I was angry, so I was VERY GENTLE.
Mike's pretending to be happy that all the kids are in bed, however dramatic getting them there was tonight.
This is as close as I dared get to Maddy, who got sent the earliest for sassing, or hitting, or whatever. I can't even remember what she did now. She did come out to brush her teeth and for the prayer, but I didn't even knock.... (ps don't my doors and hall look nice?) She lost computer time for the entire weekend. I'm sure she thinks she can wheedle out of it, but I'M SERIOUS.

GOOD TIMES AT OUR HOUSE!

WE WON!!
Isn't it IRONIC that the very thing that lost them the game (QB was "celebrating" in the endzone and lost his kicker 15 yards on the point that would have tied it up) is what MILLIONS of BYU FANS across the globe have been doing all weekend (I think the colloquial form of "celebrating" would be "rubbing it in")?
